a small tribute to Arthur C. Clarke
1. When a distinguished but elderly philosopher states that the society is progressing, he is almost certainly right. When he states that it is regressing, he is very probably wrong.
2. The only way of telling right from wrong is to completely ignore whatever it is that philosophers have to say on the subject.
3. Sufficiently advanced philosophy is indistinguishable from nonsense.
